Five Steps to Making the Perfect Cup of Hot Tea
Five Steps to Making
the Perfect Cup of Hot Tea
Tea has been around for centuries in
most countries and people have used it for its various health benefits. Not
only does tea provide positive impacts for one’s health but it has also served
as social drink to bring family and friends together. There are hundreds of
different types of teas and various methods to make them, and as long as its
made with love and good intention and with the right company, your tea will be
the perfect tea for you.
1)
Gather your Ingredients: Choose the type of tea you’d like.
Make sure you have other ingredients on hand if you want to add them. For an example,
adding ginger, turmeric and ground cardamom has enormous health benefits when
adding to hot tea. From anti-inflammation properties to treating colds, coughs
and body aches. Have your desired sweetener ready, like sugar or honey.
2)
Boil filtered water: Tap water can be used if you live an
area where it tastes good. Filter water is highly recommended for its taste and
cleanliness. Skip the electronic tea kettle and boil old school water on the
stove. This for some reason, tastes much better and truly gets to the
recommended high temperature for the tea to steep well.
3)
Add your stuff to a thermos Flask: Add your boiled water, tea, grated ginger, turmeric and
cardamom to a large thermos flask. Using a Flask will let your tea steep well
and keep warm if you desire another cup of tea within the same seating, at a
later time or want to share with others. The tea will remain hot and the grated
ingredients will marinate to achieve a high potency and will last even if you
want to simply add more hot water once it runs out without having to continually
add more ingredients!
4)
Let it Steep: Once you have added all your ingredients,
let the tea sit for a good 10-15 minutes before serving. The steeping process
is important in order to get the nutritional value of any added ingredients and
the aroma of the tea is sweeter and stronger!
5)
Serve your tea beautifully. Whether it is just for yourself or
others, serving tea in a beautiful cup with a sweet aroma is received as a
treat. Offer honey or sugar and some cake or cookies to enjoy what is now a
perfect cup of tea!
