Five Simple Steps to an Easy Pregnancy
Being able to conceive
a child is truly a miracle and a blessing in all its forms. Becoming pregnant
can be an exciting time for a couple. Sometimes, a pregnancy can have
physically challenges that some women are not aware of. Reading about pregnancy is one thing and
actually experiencing it is totally different.
Here are five ways to enjoy your pregnancy.
Here are five ways to enjoy your pregnancy.
1)
Relax: You
did it! If you’ve been planning and trying for a while, you can finally relax
and stop charting dates. Conception has taken place and now you have to carry
the child in a healthy and beautiful manner. Your body is working hard making a
baby. You will feel it in the form of exhaustion and the only way to assist
your body in executing this new challenge is getting enough sleep. If possible
take short naps, sleep earlier, wake up later, get the sleep your body and mind
need right now.
2)
Walk:
In the first trimester, it can be challenging with nausea and feeling exhausted
and bloated. Walking is a great way to relieve all the aforementioned symptoms.
Getting fresh air will lift your mood and help your blood flow throughout your
body creating a much needed energized self. Walking can be a great time to
reflect on this new stage in your life and mentally prepare.
3)
Drink
Fluids: Stay well hydrated at all costs. Your body and your baby will thank
you. Even if you can’t consume much solid food due to feeling nauseous or ill,
drink water, natural juices, tea, etc. Your baby lives in a fluid filled sac
and needs fluid to survive. Plus, certain aches and cramps can be helped with
drinking fluids as well as relieving constipation.
4)
Prepare:
Take your mind of your growing and uncomfortable body with aches and pains and
the chores left undone, to preparing for the baby! Buy something for you and
the baby. Feel special. Make something. Bake something. Doing anything that
helps you feel prepared to have a new human being enter your life.
5)
Celebrate
Your Journey: Celebrate yourself and your baby and family. To be able to conceive
and carry a healthy baby to term is truly a blessing. Celebrate it. Make time
to acknowledge what you’ve been through and what you hope for the future.
Journal writing is an excellent activity to do this.
Pregnancy can bring out the best of us (glowing skin,
beautiful thick hair, cute maternity clothes) and sometimes the worst in us
(unwilling to change bad habits for the sake of baby and extremely hormonal and
emotional). Finding a balance is the key to embracing this new journey that
involves your mind, body and soul to complete in the best manner possible. Celebrate your life and the life growing inside of you.
